Water Line Repair

Water line repair and replacement in Charlotte

Low pressure? Wet yard? Spiking water bill? We pinpoint the leak and repair or replace the main, trenchless where possible.

The Problem

Is this happening to you?

Low water pressure everywhere. A soggy strip of grass that stays wet in the dry weeks. The faint hiss of running water under the slab. Water line breaks do not heal. They get more expensive every day you wait.

Our Process

How we handle it

  1. Leak detection

Acoustic and pressure tools to pinpoint the leak location, not just the wet spot.

  2. Diagnose the cause

Corrosion on old galvanized, root movement, ground shift, or a failed fitting.

  3. Flat-rate quote

Spot repair or full replacement priced up front.

  4. Pull permits, schedule shutoff

We coordinate the city meter shutoff and the permit side.

  5. Execute the repair

Trenchless pull or targeted dig. Minimal surface disruption.

  6. Pressure test

We verify the repair holds before we close anything back up.

  • Pinpoint leak location
We find the leak with tools, not with a shovel and hope.
  • 45 years of Charlotte dirt
We know the neighborhoods with clay, the ones with rock, and the ones with 60-year-old galvanized mains.
  • Trenchless when possible
Two pits and a pull versus a trench across your yard. Trenchless wins when it can.

Pulled permits, documented work, inspection signed off.

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my water line is leaking?
A jump in the water bill with no change in habits, a wet spot in the yard that will not dry, reduced pressure at all fixtures, or the sound of running water when nothing is on. Any of those is worth a pressure test.
Do you offer trenchless water line replacement?
Yes, where soil, depth, and routing allow. We can often pull a new line through the old path with two access pits, instead of trenching the whole run.
How long does a water line replacement take?
Most residential water line replacements wrap in one to two days. Permit, locates, and the utility shutoff set the timing.
What material do you use?
Most replacements use PE or copper. We match the material to code and to your long-term needs.
Will the repair damage my landscaping?
Trenchless keeps disruption to two small pits. If we have to trench, we restore the surface but not the landscaping. Most homeowners find it is a fair trade against the cost of a line failure under the driveway.
Who pays for a water line repair, me or the city?
The line from the city meter to your house is the homeowner’s responsibility. The city handles the line on their side of the meter.
