Plumber in Indian Trail, NC

New subdivisions, well water, and everything in between. Rideout Plumbing covers Indian Trail with same-day residential service.

Why Indian Trail homeowners choose Rideout

Indian Trail has added more rooftops in the last 20 years than almost any other community in Union County. What used to be a quiet stretch of US-74 between Matthews and Monroe is now one of the fastest-growing exurbs in the Charlotte metro, with subdivisions like Brandon Oaks, Shannamara, Sun Valley, and Poplin Grove filling in the old farmland.

That growth shapes the plumbing work. Most of the new construction in Indian Trail sits on public water and sewer, but the pipes are young enough that the problems are different from what you see in older parts of Charlotte. We mostly see builder-grade water heaters aging out, slab leaks in copper-on-slab homes, toilet flanges set too low during framing, and PEX manifold valves that were never fully opened.

The east side of Indian Trail and the properties further out toward Unionville still run on private wells. Hard water with iron and manganese is the norm, and most of these homes benefit from a whole-house filtration system paired with a softener. We test water on site, size the system to your flow rate, and service pressure tanks and pumps when they short-cycle.

Indian Trail is a straight shot from our Matthews-area routes, and we run trucks along the 74 corridor every day. Same-day service is the rule, not the exception. Chason Rideout, the owner, still answers emergency calls himself. That is how we have done it since 1981, and it is why repeat customers in Indian Trail call us first.

Indian Trail plumbing FAQ

My Indian Trail house is on a well. Do I need a water softener or whole-house filtration?
Most Indian Trail wells run hard with iron and manganese, especially on the east side of town. If you see scale buildup on fixtures, orange staining in tubs, or rotten-egg smell, a whole-house filtration system plus a softener is the right call. We test the water on site and size the system to your flow rate.
I just bought a new-construction home in Shannamara. What should I watch for?
In year one, watch for slow drains from construction debris, a running toilet from a warped flapper, and water heater pan drain lines that were never hooked up. Builder warranty covers some of it but not all. A year-one inspection catches issues before the warranty expires.
Do you pull permits with Union County for water heater and sewer work?
Yes. Water heaters, gas work, sewer replacements, and repipes all need a Union County permit. We pull it in our name, meet the inspector, and hand you the signed card.
My well pressure tank is short-cycling. Can you fix it?
Yes. Short-cycling is usually a waterlogged bladder tank, a bad pressure switch, or a leak on the pressure side. We diagnose all three, replace what is bad, and get the pump back to a normal cycle. Extends pump life significantly.
How fast can you get to my Indian Trail home?
Same day for most of Indian Trail. We run trucks along the US-74 corridor daily, so Brandon Oaks, Sun Valley, and Poplin Grove are all quick reach. For emergencies the owner takes the call directly.
