Whole-House Repiping

Whole-house repiping in Charlotte

Replace old galvanized, failing copper, or bad polybutylene with modern PEX or copper. One project, done right, with a real warranty.

The Problem

Is this happening to you?

Your 1950s bungalow is on its third pinhole leak this year. The water runs rusty when nobody has used it for a while. Pressure in the upstairs shower is a trickle. You are tired of patching, and your plumber keeps telling you the next leak is coming. At some point, repiping is cheaper than repair.

Our Process

How we handle it

  1. Walk the house

We look at every fixture, every run we can see, your water heater, and the meter side. We identify the material you have now and the condition it is in.

  2. Recommend material

PEX or copper. We explain why, based on your home, budget, and how long you plan to stay.

  3. Flat-rate project quote

One number for the whole project. Includes permits, materials, labor, and pressure test. Drywall repair scope spelled out, not buried.

  4. Systematic install

We run new lines, tie in fixtures one section at a time, and keep the house as livable as possible while we work.

  5. Pressure test and inspect

Every connection gets pressure-tested. Charlotte inspector signs off before we close the walls.

  6. Warranty and wrap-up

1-year warranty on parts and labor. You know who to call if anything drips.

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I need a whole-house repipe?
Recurring pinhole leaks, discolored or metallic-tasting water, low water pressure that never came back after a repair, original galvanized piping from the 1950s or 60s, or three or more separate leak calls in a year. Patching becomes a money pit at some point.
Should I go with copper or PEX?
Both are good materials. PEX is flexible, resists freeze damage, and installs faster, which usually means lower cost. Copper has a longer proven track record and is still the standard in many remodels. We will walk through your home and recommend what fits.
How long does a whole-house repipe take?
Most single-family homes finish in two to five days depending on size, access, and finish condition. We plan the job so water is off for the shortest time possible.
Will my walls be destroyed?
We open only what we need to open. We coordinate drywall repair either through our preferred partners or your drywall contractor. We are tidy about access cuts because we have to reach behind them ourselves.
How much does repiping cost?
It depends on square footage, number of fixtures, finish condition, and material. We quote flat-rate for the whole project after walking the house. No hourly surprises.
Do you handle the permit and inspection?
Yes. Repiping requires permits and inspection in Charlotte. We pull the permit, coordinate inspection, and deliver a system that passes code.
